SPLAB
The Bookfest Poetry Stage is sponsored by SPLAB, an intergenerational writing, performance,
resource and outreach center dedicated to building community through shared experience of the spoken and
written word. SPLAB was founded in 1997 in Auburn, Washington, and recently resumed operations in
Seattle's Columbia City neighborhood. Starting October 27, their weekly writer's critique circle,
Living Room, will be held every Tuesday on the 2nd floor of Columbia City Cinema, 4816 Rainier Ave. S.,
starting at 7PM. Suggested donation $3-$10. SPLAB will present legendary Beat poet Michael McClure
in a rare Seattle appearance March 12 & 13, 2010 for a lecture, reading and workshop at the
